Sorry for asking, might not be the right thread, but wanted to know anyway :)
What is the 'security risk' with accessibility services enabled? I have it enabled?

Thanks!

There is some problem with password managers and Chromium browsers.

akc3n hmm I wonder which is the bigger security risk. Letting BitWarden have accessibility privilege or passing all your passwords through the clipboard... would prefer to keep using Vanadium and BitWarden. I feel like clipboard is worse than accessibility.

FYI, when using firefox there are no problems with autofill using KeepassDX nor with Bitwarden

mer1od9 no, use chrome and Google password manager!

I am very confused here. I use Vanadium, the default keyboard, and Bitwarden. I also do not have Play Services installed and I do not use the accessibility service. I only use the android autofill framework.

Why is the Bitwarden autofill working for me absolutely fine? It appears just under the box that needs to be filled with a suggestion of what accounts to use, I tap it and it works on 99% websites I use, including this one.

I am using a pixel 8 pro though I believe it also works fine on 6a and 6 pro.

        Very confused....

roamer4223 Same for me. It has always worked fine since they added Vanadium support. Although I do use Play Services, I don't see how it should be needed. It does not autofill in Brave for me, so I can confirm that. Pixel 6a.

[deleted] because with google you can properly secure your account and you can add a synchronization password if you don't trust google. then why google, because on chrome you don't need to enter your login to connect.
