  • Also able to reproduce this issue.
Perhaps it has to do with files stored in the cloud. Could other users try other cloud providers?

    • StarArmadillo I'd love to see the page that they're talking about. I personally know of at least one example of a bricked Pixel that had an alternative OS on it going back to Google and having it fully replaced, no questions asked.

      • StarArmadillo Thanks. I will try those steps. Do you have a link to where you read that GrapheneOS wouldn't void the warranty?

By the way, it's not that GrapheneOS specifically won't void your warranty on a Pixel. In general changing the stock OS on a pixel won't void your warranty. It's one of the reason why the project chose to support these devices. They have proper support for all security features on alternative OSes, and they don't punish you for flashing another OS by voiding the warranty.

Sorry, no link or anything handy about warranty. I'm away from home for the month so I'm less helpful.

Either way, once you've reinstalled Stock correctly, nobody should be able to tell you changed OSs.

        • I currently use a Google Voice number that I need to ring and notify me. I need to dial out easily. I need SMS and voicemail support.

I'm not all that interested in MySudo and other softphones seem to drain battery. I'd like to port my number over to Twilio and I see that SIP support for the native dialer app were removed. Will this ever be brought back to GOS?

For those that need a reliable phone - what have you been using? I see JMP.chat mentioned quite a bit. How reliable is this compared to Google Voice?

          • I have the following issue with the PDF Viewer app. Would anybody be able to see if they can reproduce it?

            Description of issue

PDF Viewer app crashes when trying to open PDF file saved in Proton Drive from the AOSP Files app

            Expected behaviour

PDF Viewer app displays contents of PDF file

            Steps to reproduce

            1. Install GrapheneOS PDF Viewer app
            2. Install Proton Drive and save a PDF file there
            3. Open AOSP Files app
            4. Open Proton Drive "folder" from side menu of AOSP files app
            5. Click to open saved PDF file
            6. PDF Viewer app opens. Header of the app is visible. Content of PDF not visible.
            7. Delay of one second
            8. PDF Viewer app crashes

            Notes

            • PDF Viewer app works as expected outside Proton Drive
            • MuPDF app works correctly. It opens PDF file from Proton Drive from AOSP Files app
          • Battery Share

Starting from the 2022062200 release of GrapheneOS, a cool feature has been implemented - reverse wireless charging for devices supporting it. This includes Pixel 5, 6, and 6 Pro.

            To turn on Battery Share:
            1. Open your phone's Settings app.
            2. Tap Battery and then Battery Share.
Tip: You can also add Battery Share to your Quick Settings.

Battery Share turns off when your phone:

            • Starts wireless charging, like when on a Pixel Stand.
            • Doesn’t notice that it’s charging another device after 30 seconds.
            • Knows the receiving device is fully charged.
            • Reaches a high temperature.
            • Senses power transmission isn’t going well due to poor placement, a thick case, or other issues.
            • Turns on Battery Saver.
