Hi everyone, I'm new to the GrapheneOS universe and have installed it on a Pixel 8 Pro:

Here's the behavior I've noticed: When I reboot my phone, I can still see the apps used before the reboot (swipe up into recent app view).

I use multiple profiles and could observe this behavior in the Owner Profile and also in User Profiles, and even there I can still see all the apps I used before the reboot.

Is this a bug or a feature? I would have thought that this data would be deleted after a restart (unfortunately I don't have another phone to check if this behavior also occurs there and is an Android behavior).

Murcielago This seems to be normal behavior. On my Pixel 7 Pro running GrapheneOS stable I am experiencing the very same as on my Pixel 8 with the experimental version of GrapheneOS.

    Hi everyone,

Ive been using GOS for over a year on a p6p and a p7p. Im moving into a p8p, GOS is loaded and almost everything is working so far. Strange however when installing the apps on my new p8p coinbase is not showing in the playstore. I tried aurora store its there but never installs just says getting metadata. I am using the coinbase app on my p7p with GOS and the android 14 update any ideas? Thanks for your help. Also noticed the pixel thermometer does not work even with permissions granted

      Graphene1
linked to google play from coin base and it says app not compatible with this phone???? my other banking apps work??

So... coinbase is still working on my pixel 7 pro, android 14 with GOS. I was able to update it (oct 14th CB update) with aurora store but it does not show up in the play store on that phone either so it appears its being blocked for some reason

        • ts55 replied to this.

ts55 craigslist app is also doing this, hope there is a solution...thanks everyone

I have an issue with aux adapters while using YouTube.
Sound dissapears alot and for some reason when using an aux adapter the play/pause button on the screen wont dissapear unless i lock and unlock my device.
But the sound issue is still there.

L8437 No you can't, and never will. Unless Google finally consider Graphene OS as certified. Spoiler : It will never happen.

matchboxbananasynergy Wahoo! Amazing work by the GOS Team. So 12 days after the Pixel 8 Series phone hardware release, we officially have GOS Support. Impressive work. Thank You from one happy user and promoter of GOS 😑

maximus87 It is confirmed. It just wasn't included in the release notes due to there not being proper release notes for the experimental releases of 8th gen. As it is the first 8th gen release notes, there are no "changes since the last release", thus not included here, if that makes sense.

matchboxbananasynergy hi I appreciate the graphene team have valuable and limited resources and I'm not sure where Face Unlock stands on the priority list. Have you guys been able to find anything regarding face unlock in the graphene future?
            Cheers

Seconded, face unlock would be huge if the devs can do it at some point!

Yes please, I hope it comes one day and is not generally excluded. I think nothing speaks against face unlock for P8. The security should be sufficient so that it can be left to the users themselves whether they want to use it or not.

There is a lot of clamor about face unlock, but isn’t that an entirely software-based solution? The only additional hardware on the 8 to enable this is the purported ML capabilities of the new SoC, but it still uses just a single camera. I think all the magic that would enable this as a secure unlock is locked up inside the official pixel OS and not AOSP. It doesn’t seem like something GOS could adopt.

That said, I’m armchair-speculating here and could be entirely wrong.
