Graphene OS works a little differently than customroms, for example. There are 3 channels. Alpha, Beta and Stable. In the normal state, everything runs on the stable channel. Accordingly, you only get stable updates. If you want to help with development, you can switch to the Alpha channel. You will then receive the updates in the alpha channel immediately after release. If the updates are found to be OK by the testers, this version will be moved to the beta channel. If everything is good there too, it moves to the stable channel. So you can decide for yourself when you want to have the software. I hope that's easy to understand.

Is the Alpha channel for people with more technical expertise than the Beta channel?
I have a small to medium amount of technical expertise but I'm not a coder and certainly no dev.
Should people like me at consider joining the Beta channel rather than the Alpha channel to 'help with development', or is the Alpha channel safe for noobs too? So long as I've got everything important backed up and a recovery image set up on flash drive I'm not going to brick my phone, yea?

Wisdom8072 In fact, it is usually the absolutely identical version that is first tested in the alpha channel and then appears as the stable version. I would perhaps wait for the stable version to be delivered on a device that I really need. You can't really break anything except, in the worst case, data loss.

      Thank you for this update!
The Pixel 7 and Pixel Tablet seems to work fine on 2025012600

I have yet to try the Pixel 6a, but I always update that one offline, I haven't got the time to do that yet, I had to go to the job on time.

Pocketstar I can confirm now, the Pixel 6a seems to work fine as well on 2025012600.

When the app triggers Play Integrity Check, you get a notification and as GrapheneOS already stated, a new submenu appears under App info between Manage app if unused and Exploit protection compatibility mode.

I think this is a really good solution: the menu doesn't get any longer for apps that don't trigger this and you can easily access the settings for those that do.

Hello, you (GrapheneOS devs) suggest leaving a feedback to the devs of the apps that require Play Integrity API, which I would like to do. Would you mind giving us a sample wording of the feedback so we can express it in a coherent and compliant way ?

GrapheneOS Thank you for this new feature :)
I was "worried" not to see any such notification on my phone, then installed ChatGPT : the notification showed up. So I know it's working, it's simply that I didn't have any app using the Integrity API.

I was unable to locate a menu entry in phone's Settings App leading to the list of all apps using that API. So far I have the feeling the list can only be reached from the per-app Play Integrity API menu.

Am I wrong, right ? In case I'm right, would you please consider adding a link to the list of all Integrity API-using apps e.g. in the "Sandboxed Google Play" setting screen ? Thank you.

i am not a coder but i assume these are not AOSP changlelog done by Google itself
These features are developed and integrated by GOS Teams. It is GOS team responsibility to provide these necessary/important GOS updates/fixes to legacy devices too......here i am not asking for new and latest feature for old legacy devices....atleast a updates/fixes for old features which they already have like vpn leak, google play fixes, auto reboot.....
if i am wrong then please let me know what is difference b/w Google/OEM roms vs GOS/Custom ROMs? after all all of them abandoned old devices once the they what to do it.....
