  • GrapheneOS fixing the standard VPN leak blocking is nearing completion

Always impressed and amazed at how 6.5 people can know so much. Everything from security, networking, proxy services, software engineering, tool chains, the all of Android Open Source Project which is a massive undertaking in itself.

They are clearly among the most talented teams I've ever heard of.

I appreciate this teams purity, the goals and objectives it's working towards, and it's raw talent.

    Agreed.

And let's not forget about the hard-working forum and chat moderators, plus people who work on the web site, and all of the volunteers who send in pull requests... and the users who submit careful, detailed issues and supporting data. Edit: also the vital efforts of the alpha and beta testers! Everything done right by a non-developer accelerates the productivity of the developers.

    And of course, THE DONORS.

de0u seriously. obviously programmers first and foremost, but everyone involved in this project deserves gratitude. i don't think i've ever been on a better moderated forum than right here. i'm consistently amazed by the people of GOS from top to bottom.

      Just to clarify, you wrote

GrapheneOS In April 2023, one of our users did their own testing for VPN leaks on GrapheneOS and discovered multiple issues with the standard Android leak blocking

      and then

GrapheneOS The issue found by a GrapheneOS user in April 2024

      Is this a typo?

H4M It's fixed now. Can't fix it on X or Bluesky due to lack of edits. It's fixed on Mastodon though where there was another issue (one of the replies posted twice instead of the correct one).
