i'm not an expert so i can't tell you anything useful but i will say that the security experts here often discuss how poor security is on linux

DeletedUser130 a simple search would show this has been discussed before. here is a thread where moderators discuss why it's unlikely to change. you could of course make your own fork and follow the documentation linked here to remove/replace the logo at boot
DeletedUser87 but there are plenty of apps for qr scanning that are not google apps. something should exist to utilize without having to build from scratch. unless i misunderstand what you're saying, which is very possible; i have extra small brain.
sweetnight19 settings > system > developer options > cutout (in the drawing section) allows you to adjust that, though i can't say with any certainty it will act as you're hoping. probably easier to just search cutout within the setting app tbh.
kdf that is the cellebrite interface. you can learn about its effectiveness on GOS in this post. the short version is that GOS is the most secure mobile os against its attacks
i feel like we should really stick to only posting GOS-related burrito content. i know he's well like around here (for good reason) but i don't think it fits to start a discussion for every video he creates
i think simply spending time in threads in this forum is a good place to start. lots of people with knowledge and who will post links to good resources in discussion. i think users (and the GOS team) are much better at fact checking and countering bad information than most sources you will find.

Skyway when i took my device to ifixit for warranty repairs i mentioned i was on an alternative os and was disappointed to lose my data. guy working gave me a wink and a smile and when i got it back it was still running gos. obviously mileage may vary, but they clearly do not care about custom installs. reinstalling stock is the policy but clearly not important.

not the first time i've seen bad information from mental outlaw. these youtube guys mostly do pretty surface level research in my experience and looking into their primary sources is always required.

i know you found your solution but syncthing may be an easier and more trustworthy solution in the future/if you decide you'd like to avoid google anyway. been using it for this exact use case for quite some time (temporarily unable to set up my NAS)
UlyssesZhan what device are you using? just tried hide did exactly what you're asking for (as far as i understand)
from the information in the posting it should work. however, there is a chance the device is carrier unlocked but not OEM unlocked, which prevents installing GOS. you can ask the seller but they seldom know, in my experience the best option is to be sure they have a good return policy.

Hat from the code of conduct:
Simply put, community discussions should be the following:
Respectful and kind
About GrapheneOS
About features and code, not the individuals involvedi think this pretty well excludes politics. i don't know why people expect politics to be in-bounds in a technical community anyway, especially the politics that were happening above. the rare non-GOS threads are allowed i assume because they are still technical in nature.
