Bitwarden and KeepassXc work fine in Firefox (for me) but have stopped working entirely in Vanadium and Brave. Seems like Android chromium-based browsers and password managers aren't playing well. Does anyone know what's going on?

spiral KeePassDX MagiKeyboard works, also try SETTINGS>PASSWORDS AND ACCOUNTS>AUTO-FILL SERVICE.

MetropleX right, I use KeepassXd keyboard, as well as regular Auto-Fill with keepass and Bitwarden on Firefox browsers.

As I said in original post, NO chromium browser is accepting Auto-Fill from any password manager, while Firefox is accepting Auto-Fill from whichever PM I allow to do so.

spiral yeah looked into it and it isn't a GrapheneOS specific issue rather a Chromium issue not having native autofill support, on Android 12L a patch was available on another third party Chromium browser but the patch was considered too hacky and the GrapheneOS dev team were looking into the viability of patching it themselves to contribute upstream. [1] However no ETA.

You might try using an accessibility service for Bitwarden too?[2]

          aren't Accessibility services dangerous?

[deleted] Yes, it is recommended that you do not use the OS accessibility service with any apps.

The advice given in this thread is outdated, since Vanadium now supports the OS auto-fill service which apps like KeePassDX and Bitwarden use.

At the time this thread was opened, Vanadium did not support the OS auto-fill service.

Thanks for bringing this up again, because I can't quite get it to work. How do I set up Bitwarden Autofill on Vanadium with the regular Graphene Keyboard?

When I add Bitwarden to the Autofill Service in "Passwords and accounts", I get the option to "Autofill" when long pressing a login box in Vanadium, but nothing happens when I press it. My Bitwarden Vault is unlocked. Changing the "Auto Sign-in" setting in Vanadium didn't help either and I couldn't find any related option in the Graphene Keyboard settings (nor online in guides and forums). What information/step am I missing?

Is this something that will get fixed for Brave? I use Roboform and it's working across the phone and with Vanadium, but not with Brave. However, my old phone that I am switching from (Sam Gal Z Fold 4), has Roboform working fine with Brave.

Where is the issue in particular (Graphene? Brave? AOSP?)? Is this a fix worth waiting for?
