In settings I cannot add another search engine in Vanadium. Is there a way to add Neeva to the list that includes google, Yahoo, duck duck go etc...

Thanks!

Man I love DuckDuckGo Lite isn't there anyway to set it as the default?

ayaen We would need to hard-wire it as a search engine in Vanadium as it doesn't implement OpenSearch.

[deleted] Sadly, I believe the same is true for Startpage. I wonder if it's possible to allow end users to manually add search engines that don't implement OpenSearch?

FU6QydnIELkx You actually can add Startpage as a search engine in Vanadium. Before you search (also make sure it's not in incognito mode) you have to go into the settings of Startpage & change the HTTP request method from "POST" to "GET." Then do a search on Startpage & you should see it show up in the list of search engines.

          Hi,

I tried the suggested solution, but Neeva doesn't show up in my options for search engines.

          Anything else I can try?

I'm also struggling with this. I previously had my own SearX engine up and running and it worked fine with Vanadium. Since I switched to SearXNG I can't get it to work as my default search site.

Any ideas on how to get that working?

yfarkash Make sure to search in a normal tab instead of a incognito one

Same here. Tried all solutions but SearXNG won't appear under search engines.

pampur I just tried again to make sure it's working for me and I could add a SearXNG instance without any problem.

Have you tried other instances? I just tested with searx[.]hu (I just picked the instance since it was near the top of a list of instances and easy to type).
