Well, Garmin does get info on where I do activities and my health data. However, Garmin seems to be the most privacy respecting of the health tracker companies, they don't sell your data, their privacy policy is pretty straightforward, and they have a Swiss HQ. I do carefully consider each setting, both Connect App permissions and Garmin account settings, so I don't just give it free reign over everything. However, you have to consider your threat model. For me, I think it's acceptable given where I am.
