Better Weather Apps

I use Breezy Weather and I love it. But if there are any other FOSS weather apps, I need a better one. Currently, if theres an alert (ie; Tornado watches/warnings, thunderstorm watches/warnings/ snowfall watches/warnings) Breezy Weather doesn't show the alert. If there's a tornado for example, Wireless Emergency Alerts alerts me, but only after the threat is determined. There's no emergency banner in Breezy Weather. Same as a snowfall warning. I'd like to know if there's a snowfall warning, but since that's not "critical", Wireless Emergency Alerts doesn't alert me and I have no idea. Are there any better weather apps that do this?

xxx yep, I realize that now. :) The Weather Network is a good (but closed source) app that I used on Stock Android. I installed it on my phone a while ago and then deleted it, but it may be worth going back to, just for alerts. It functions without Google Play Services too, which is nice!

Where do you live? Many countries have a government issued/made app. For instance, here in Canada, we have WeatherCAN. It's a nice app with all weather notification alerts - including smoke/pollen alerts and an excellent radar view. No ads etc. The only limitation is that it is only for Canadian weather so if you are travelling internationally you need another app such as Breezy etc.

For France, Breezy Weather gives quite many alerts. I would have the opposite problem. Anyway I one that app.

Oh! Maybe this will be enough for what I want. If I allow notifications, I can turn on severe weather alerts. Never realized that.

Developer-Dude In Settings/Apps/Sandboxed Google Play, you can "reroute location requests to the OS". I suppose that should do the trick.

I have Play Services installed in my Private Space and reroute location requests to the OS is enabled. I only use GPS for push notifications from my private space. the store is disabled (I've never even opened it before)

On Breezy weather it depends on the country and the chosen weather forecast/service, if warnings are provided.

Installed WeaWOW as a web app. Runs fine like that so works for me

I use Breezy Weather with the flat icon pack. Don't need anything else. I use the 5 week day widget, but personalized to only show 3 days. It connects to the weather institute of my country as source, so it's pretty accurate. Don't need to use anything else. I even prefer it to Google Weather if I'm on stock Pixel OS.
