Please note that it is case-sensitive so you do need to write it exactly as I wrote it. No other changes should be necessary. Let me know if this works.

Ironically, @DeletedUser88 didn't write the APK filter with correct case. It should be arm64Universal with a capital U on Universal.

Just a heads up by the way you can hide some of the crypto stuff if you are uninterested like I am.

You can hide the brave rewards icon in the settings in the appearance category.

And if you are willing to mess with flags in chrome://flags you can hide the wallet by changing #native-brave-wallet to Disabled.

Hope this helps make the browser more desirable! It certainly helped me. Wish I could do it for every additional feature but that sadly is not possible as of today.

Dumdum I tried that but it does sadly not find any Version too...I don't know what to do that it works...I could just use latest tag but I don't know if it then would skip the beta and nightly...

Is there interest in forking the DivestOS apps?

Hypatia, Carrion, Mull and Mulch are all really useful.

I personally could boil it down to just Mull, as no other browser has extension support.

missing-root I would love to see a Fork of Mulch too! I'm wondering if it would be possible to fork Mulch and make Extensions possible?

Only thing I can suggest is try adding Brave from: https://apps.obtainium.imranr.dev/
It should just add to Obtainium by adding Release and arm64Universal to the appropriate boxes, so I'm not sure why its not working. If the link still doesn't work, I'm not sure what the problem is and can only recommend seeking help on the Obtainium github.

DeletedUser34 no, making extensions work on a browser with absolutely no support for it is out of scope.

You can look at Kiwix, they literally changed desktop Chromium to work on Android, just to get extension support.

Dumdum I tried that too, but it does not work. Only what works is: Enable latest Tag and typing in Release. But not arm64Universal. I tried arm64Universal, but it does not work before downloading, only after that it changes to that if I type it in. But it get's saved as Bravearm64Universal. But if I type in Bravearm64Universal before downloading that does not work too. Should I use it with latest tag and Release typed in? And should I after downloading leave it like that or type in arm64Universal that it get's saved as Bravearm64Universal? I'm wondering if that would make any difference and I'm worried it could stop finding new Versions, since it did not accept it before downloading.

DeletedUser34 I have no idea why it isn't working for you, maybe you messed with a toggle you shouldn't have.

Try removing Brave from Obtanium and starting again from scratch, following the exact steps as below and not changing anything else:

I just deleted my Brave configuration from Obtanium and followed the same steps and it worked just fine. It has to be user error of some kind.

DeletedUser88 Oh, thank you so much that you even deleted and tried it! I did the same now and it worked but I did not write Bravearm64Universal, I only used arm64Universal and it got installed directly but only when I enabled latest Tag too. Normally without filling in these options and just selecting Latest Tag, I get asked to select a Version but it got installed instantly and says Bravearm64Universal. Did I do everything right?

Yes now you have the correct version installed and it should auto-update just fine.

I'm not answering the author's question here, I'm just commenting to wish Tavi all the best in the years to come. I haven't used DivestOS and I don't know if Tavi reads the comments on this forum, I would still like to thank him for his for his courage and perseverance, doing on his own what he did for 10 years is is completely insane.

This is really sad news. I’ve been using DivestOS on some of my end-of-life (EOL) devices because it’s a great harm reduction project that backports some monthly security updates.

While I use a Pixel 6a with GrapheneOS, the devices running DivestOS have been really useful for my music setup at home, connecting over cable to my Denon music player and speakers.
