I have just starting using Proton Pass with Vanadium and it has mostly been successful in autofilling my details. Where I have a problem is when the login name/email address is on one page and the password is on the next page (eBay for example). The issue is that I get no autofill prompt on the second page so have to copy and paste my password manually.

The other issue is that I have tried one site's 2fa authenticator code within Proton Pass and a long press-paste command only fills in the first three of the six numbers.

Could this be a Vanadium issue? I have also asked Proton for assistance.

Vanadium Version 131.0.6778.81.0
Proton Pass Version 1.28.2

I generally just copy paste from the app. Its a little annoying but I keep the proton apps on the main launcher so it only takes a moment.

Perhaps the field names are not correct, or the url that the password belongs to

After your suggestion I added the specific URL for the password page into the relevant Proton Pass entry but it still did not prompt when I selected the password field on the page. Good idea though and I hadn't realized that more than one URL could be input into the Proton Pass entry (sure it will be useful for something in the future)

I don't mind doing that but I am changing from KeePassDX,vwhere I always copy and pasted, to Proton Pass where the integration is mostly seamless. I was just wondering if anybody else had encountered this issue and overcome it

MotherShipton Interesting. I recently switched from Bitwarden to KeePassDX and in my experience, KeePassDX is almost 100% perfect in autofilling. Sites that BW had issues filling correctly, KPDX is so far flawless. Also it is faster to pop up its "buttons" above the keyboard, almost instantly.

No experience here with Proton Pass but you may want to see if it will let you flag certain websites as having tbe UN and PW entered in two distinct steps. Some password managers let you do this.

I never tried auto filling with KeePassDX but I am a Proton subscriber and was seduced by the fact that it could integrate 2fa codes so thought I'd give it a try.

I didn't know about possible setting for UN & PW over two pages, however I experimented with a Firefox browser in a separate user space and Proton Pass filled in the details perfectly (UN, PW & 2fa on different pages).

It seems the issue is in the integration with Vanadium but I'm not prepared to ditch it for another browser in GrapheneOS.

I have those kinds of problems with 1password too. I always assumed it's an issue with how the web is coded and Android auto fill not working on those cases. I mean, I had that same issue when I had a Samsung phone.

I agree and was somewhat reluctant to try it. As it is, I cannot get Proton Pass 2fa codes to autofill anyway in Vanadium so have reverted to using Aegis. I don't have a very busy digital life, I only have a small number of logins requiring 2fa codes so it's not exactly an inconvenience. Besides which, Proton Pass does autofill my Aegis password and I also recently discovered split screen mode from a Side Of Burritos video which helps too.
