TinyBit Launcher, because it has more customizability than KISS. You can really go pixel perfect crazy there.

On other devices (for a more classic launcher experience, but with a lot of customizability) I have Neo Launcher installed.

Neither have private space support yet, though.

I tried Lawnchair builds some years ago, but had the worst experience in terms of stability and memory use, plus I seem to remember it has proprietary blobs.

Byku Hi. How's the recent apps issue with Nova? I still have a Nova Prime license but stopped using it because there were some issues, especially with the Recents shortcut while using gestures. It wasn't great right after it was implemented.

I'll probably install it and take it for a spin to see how's it behaving.

sumactea I didnt, I used their official Github releases. And the latest one was outdated. Unless they have a really strange release system, I doubt that the beta uses recent SDK versions

Ok well that was the case. Their 15 nightly looks pretty different, doesnt show the warning.

    Still

    • no private space support
    • work profile is shown and greyed out but cannot be toggled

Gave Novalauncher another try. Seems you can only get the beta outside of the playstore, but that is free?

Damn I like Novalauncher. The essentials, like the global search etc are just best.

Need to say, the work profile works smoother on the AOSP launcher, and it still has no support for private space so still no option.

I subsequently purchased Pro Launcher to support the Dev. Great Launchers, but I very much miss Windows Phone interface.

missing-root re Lawnchair, the last formally published version is A12, I think, but they have beta A14 and A15 available. A15 is buggy right now, but they are working on it.

sumactea Thanks for pointing out. Is there a way to purchase the prime version outside the Play Store?

73kk13 IIRC you have to buy the prime license through the play store, but it doesn't have to be on the device where you want to use it - it could be on your PC. Then you just email the developer and give him your play store ID or something like that and when he have verified that he has recieved the payment he will send you a code you can use to activate prime.

I would probably weight a little buying prime though as he haven't released a new beta since mid-summer IIRC and i'm wondering if he is still maintaining the project.

aurocha Gesture shortcut for recent apps seems to work. Nova has the same bug as other custom launchers in recent apps: when you use the home gesture and then the recent apps gesture a black tab appears in recent apps. This is not specific only to this launcher.

brandy078 No trouble at all, it ticks the minimalist box for me, and is the only launcher that has struck a cord after Windows Phone. The developer is happy to review user suggestions too, and is responsive on Telegram.

I use niagara launcher because it blends in with my plan to limit screentime and streamline how I use my phone. It's very easy to simply have 8 things on the home screen, with no icons or distractions, and nothing else to take away my time.

I think it's more of adoption of the feature just being not the fastest. Which is fine.

As @weston said Niagara launcher has supported private space recently and does it pretty well.

Also Kvaesitso Launcher was one of the quickest launchers to adopt the feature from what I had seen. Once again works pretty well.

It's a shame it's being quite lengthy for a majority of launchers to adopt the feature. But I like to be hopeful that the extra time will ensure that when they do adopt the feature that it will be well implemented and stable. Just like the previously mentioned launchers.

I'm mainly waiting for nova to get it. As it's the only thing I'm missing from the launcher right now and I love the extremely flexible control it gives you. Kvaesitso gives very flexible control too but it's not my style of launcher. I bet anyone who likes powerful feature packed search focused launchers might possibly take a liking to it though.
