GrapheneOS version 2024101701 released

Do not uninstall GSF. The original suggestion to do so has been retracted. It's not recommended or needed, and even on this latest release, doing so might break some things. Please leave your sandboxed Google Play installations as they are.
New installations of sandboxed Google Play on Android 15 won't include GSF, but for those that do, please leave them be.

Thx, for the clarification!
I assume this will change later for existing installations?
Beerman No, for existing installations, people should not remove GSF. Please leave it as it currently is.
Already removed it. No bad things so far. Then again, I'm not using many apps.
DeletedUser5 same here. Also did not encounter any breakage.
Wi fi is not working. I am tryying to connect to previous network and I cannot.
Networks are not even displayied
matchboxbananasynergy Is a full OS reinstall/reset necessary to ensure nothing breaks in the future if I already uninstalled GSF?

This as well as IPC scopes will make Aurora Droid obsolete.
matchboxbananasynergy What is the purpose of GSF? And how do new installations differ in that they don't need GSF?
I am on the latest alpha, everything is working perfectly fine!
Only the new private space things are a bit buggy, but working.

When trying to activate a certain banking app by scanning a QR code on another device, it tells me it cannot find that device. Although "Near Devices" is activated on both and Bluetooth is on.
Maybe this is due to lack of GSF?
DeletedUser5 update to the newest Version?

DeletedUser5 Maybe this is due to lack of GSF?
I don't know for sure. If you removed GSF, something may be broken. Try another profile to see if it works there. I think starting a new discussion for this issue makes the most sense.
