Thanks!

Unfortunately, there will have to be another release in around 8 hours with at least 1 more change before it can reach Beta and hopefully Stable. We need to change the default for the new "Send device name" toggle for sending the device name as a DHCP client hostname. We spotted it early on but we haven't dealt with it yet.

Thanks for this release. I was wondering why my notifications weren't working and I was just uninstalled GSF. Now it's fixed

    GrapheneOS

    Can you explain, please.

As i understand, after 2024101600 release, there is no need in Google Services Framework (GSF). How can i delete it on existing GrapheneOS install after Android 15 became stable?

Do not uninstall GSF. The original suggestion to do so has been retracted. It's not recommended or needed, and even on this latest release, doing so might break some things. Please leave your sandboxed Google Play installations as they are.

New installations of sandboxed Google Play on Android 15 won't include GSF, but for those that do, please leave them be.

Already removed it. No bad things so far. Then again, I'm not using many apps.

DeletedUser5 same here. Also did not encounter any breakage.

Works fine for me on Pixel 8. (Maybe after resetting Wifi it works? System > Reset options > Reset Bluetooth & Wi-Fi.)

matchboxbananasynergy Is a full OS reinstall/reset necessary to ensure nothing breaks in the future if I already uninstalled GSF?

whambam it did not work this what you suggested but reboot of the device fixed the thing. Thank you !

This as well as IPC scopes will make Aurora Droid obsolete.

I am on the latest alpha, everything is working perfectly fine!

Only the new private space things are a bit buggy, but working.

When trying to activate a certain banking app by scanning a QR code on another device, it tells me it cannot find that device. Although "Near Devices" is activated on both and Bluetooth is on.

Maybe this is due to lack of GSF?
