Hello!

I'm am having this issue while installing.

I use windows 11 and I downloaded LeMobile Android Device using Windows Update. For the Browser it's Brave with Shields Down. Pixel is connected to laptop in Fastboot Mode. I press "Unlook bootloader" button on the web and get the error message "Bootloader was not unlocked, please try again!". If I try to carry on to Obtaining factory images, I am able to download release for my Pixel (coral).

I am running out of ideas of my own of what could be the source of the error. Any body could help?

PD: Thanks for the effort of making and maintaining such a detailed and explanatory <3

That message appears if OEM Unlocking is disabled. Try enabling it and then try unlocking the bootloader. Steps are in the official web install guide.

You are right, I miss that step.

Unfortunately it`s blocked. It says "Connect to the internet or contact your carrier."
My Pixel is second hand so I don't know if it came with a carrier or not. I am, however, able to use my SIM card from a carrier that do not offer Pixel Phones. I wonder if it's a carrier issue or not.

Oh, forgot to say: I am connected to the internet.

You can try a factory reset, sometimes that helps. But chances are high the device was issued by a carrier, likely Verizon, who never allows OEM unlocking, even if the device is paid off. If you bought the device just now I suggest you return it. The pixel 4 XL is end of life by the way, you should get a more recent device.

Thank you for the support, sadly it did not work. I bought the phone 3 years ago so I might consider buying a new device after I can find a way to re-circulate my Pixel 4 XL, it works just right!

Are there any known common issues with refurbished devices from Back Market Store or similar sellers?

When buying a used Pixel to run GrapheneOS, the most important thing is to check how long the device will be supported: https://endoflife.date/pixel

If a device was frequently run hot and/or the battery was frequently run low, battery life might be poor. Replacing a battery could undo much of the cost saving of buying a used device.

If a device can't be OEM unlocked, it won't be possible to run GrapheneOS on it.
