Hoping someone knows what's causing this...

I recently had my thinking upgraded and uninstalled Fdroid and Aurora, opting for Sandboxed Google Play instead. Still 'feels' a bit weird but I'm learning to quell those feelings! (PS Thanks very much to

Weirdly I actually find my phone is more buggy now, Omni Notes crashes on opening, never did before (now installed via Play Store rather than droidify), SMS app (GOS) suddenly gives no audible alerts for texts coming in, yet that app wasn't even touched during this changeover. Just generally lots of little gripes I will hopefully sort over time. But one is a REAL pain...

I installed Gboard. It doesn't have any permissions. For first few days i was very impressed with it, REALLY helped as I was never happy with the predictive stuff before (tried so many KBs). I would be typing and everything was really intuitive and accurate, words were autocorrected well and I could type really fast (for first time ever!). Then suddenly today it has taken a nose dive, the suggestions and auto corrects are crazy and nonsensical. What confuses me most is what CHANGED?! I didn't make any changes whatsoever to the phone, haven't even run any updates. What gives?

I can't remember all the examples of this but one happened just now which is a perfect example. I was typing a text to someone I was going to meet. I typed a sentence, then started a new sentencee with the word 'Thanks'. I typed 'thanks' and hit the space bar and it changed to 'Thanksgiving'! WTF?! I don't understand much of the tech stuff discussed in here, but if anyone knows how and why such a sudden change in performance can happen, I'd be interested to hear about it.

PS not sure if there's a way to 'wipe' the dictionary or something and start like a new install with no 'learning' having been performed. If there is I might have to try that. I can't see why it w0ould help since it was working great for a few days until yesterday, but I have no idea what else to try and i can't type stuff easily any more with these strange words being chosen, overriding by far the more common/logical word choice!

PPS - Just had two more examples. I was typing a message where I wanted to say 'Not sure if you transferred the money'. I got to 'not sure if' and when i hit space, it changed 'if' to 'I'd'. I backspaced to undo, hit space again and it changed it to 'of'. Never seen it so bad, but why all of a sudden has it gone so crap?! Maybe someone can just advise where this stuff is generated (in settings) so i can see if there are any options etc. (PS This was one of reasons I changed keyboarrd as I had this problem of terrible suggestions/autocorrect with the GOS keyboard originally and thought it must be that at fault
