Screen capture quality issue on Pixel 7 Pro compared to Samsung S21

I'm experiencing image quality degradation issues with screenshots on my Pixel 7 Pro running GrapheneOS. When zooming in on screenshots in the gallery, noticeable pixelation/artifacts appear (visible square patterns), unlike on my previous Samsung S21 where screenshots remained crisp.

Technical details:

Device: Pixel 7 Pro running GrapheneOS
File format and size: identical to those from S21
Tested solutions:
1. Installed Google Photos Gallery
2. Installed Google Photos
3. Both solutions did not improve the quality significantly

While uploading to Google Photos online could potentially help by leveraging Google's image processing algorithms to bypass GrapheneOS's limitations, this would compromise privacy and security too much.

Is this a known issue with GrapheneOS's screenshot implementation?
Are there any recommended solutions that maintain privacy while improving screenshot quality?
Are there specific gallery apps that handle image processing better on GrapheneOS?

This is a little surprising. Do the two devices have exactly the same pixel counts (width X height) and color depth?

What happens if you view a screenshot from the S21 using the gallery app on the Pixel 7?
