Can't install from Accrescent Store

I have tried to install Aves Gallery Libre from the Accrescent store with no success. It downloads and prompts to install. First time the system asked to give permission to Accrescent to install apps which I granted. Accrescent then offers the install button which, when pressed, asks whether to grant the app network access. When I press to install nothing happens (regardless of whether I grant network access or not).

This is on a Pixel 6A with the latest OS.

Have I missed something?

First try I got stuck at the download stage without getting the install dialog window. But after force stopping Accrescent and trying again it worked. So have you tried restarting and clearing cache?

Okay, tried forced stop plus clearing cache and got the same result. Aves Gallery Libre would not install. I tried to install another app from Accrescent (AppVerifier) and this app installed with no issue.

I have now tried to install Aves Gallery Libre from Accrescent on my Pixel tablet and it has installed without any problem.

Aves Gallery Libre from Accrescent does not like my Pixel 6A for some reason that I don't understand.

I've also experienced similar issues when installing or manually updating apps using Accrescent.

MotherShipton This could be caused by another installed version of Aves. Maybe in another user profile or in the private space?

MotherShipton You can try downloading and installing (newest and older versions) from Github directly to try pinpointing the issue.

I had Aves Libre already installed using the github release page on Obtanium which worked fine. I uninstalled it as I had decided to try to migrate what apps I could to the Accrescent store as it is available in GrapheneOS. I have gone back to the github release for now in the absence of a solution.

I don't really see why it doesn't work on my 6A but is okay on my tablet. I don't think I had it on my tablet before installing it from Accrescent. Could it be something remaining on my 6A after uninstalling it with Obtanium that is blocking it from installing from Accrescent?

MotherShipton My understanding of how Accrescent functions is very basic, but as per their documentation, the app developers have sole control of their updates. So maybe it's a bug either with Accresecent (it is still in alpha after all) or with the Aves apk submitted to it. Either way I think you might have more luck submitting a bug report to either or both of them.
