flawedworld People sometimes want to use Ethernet with their GrapheneOS phone, not all adapters will work, but most do. Suggested format below. Devices tested: Pixel 5, 4a 5G, 4a Store link: https://example[.]com/product/ Chipset: RT420NA
etk88134m flawedworld I think it would be useful to include the chipset aswell For example: Chipset: rtl8152 A lot of devices uses similar or even same chipsets.

The cool thing about this adapter is that it connects to the phone via a standard USB-C to USB-C cable vs a short cable hard-attached to the adapter. It makes it easier to use.

iii Is there a compatible USB C-to-ethernet adapter that is externally powered and does not offer pass-through charging?
junction iii The one that I posted above doesn't charge Pixel 6. What do you want to achieve with lack of charging though? Better isolation from the charger device? If so better use USB adapter with power wires cut off.
GokuSS4 This Adapter works for me: https://store.google.com/de/product/chromecast_ethernet_adapter_gen_2
Corso (Maybe off topic) I’m trying to decide if I want to buy a Chromebook to use for installing GrapheneOS vis the web BUT not all Chromebooks have an Ethernet port. Would an adapter work? I know it's not ideal but WOULD IT WORK. I have not owned a PC in years. I figure a Chromebook is the cheapest way to go. (Thanks!)
evalda Corso work for what? Accessing Internet on Chromebook via Ethernet? Yes I use usb-c hub that has Ethernet with my Chromebook and it works fine. Or you mean something in relation to flashing GOS from Chromebook? Ethernet doesn't play any role there.
Groetg Corso Is it possible to have GrapheneOS on a Chromebook??? I was searching for possibility's russnning GrapheneOS on a tablet, to get rid of my iPad
Corso evalda I demonstrated my ignorance quite well. LOL. I guess I meant “doggle. Connecting Chromebook and Pixel with a doggle, could that work in getting GrapheneOS? Thanks!
kopolee11 Groetg No it's not possible to run GrapheneOS (GOS) on a Chromebook. They were referring to using a Chromebook to install GOS onto a Pixel. It may be possible to install GOS onto the upcoming Pixel Tablet, but we won't know for sure until it comes out.
evalda Corso You can install GrapheneOS on Pixel phone from Chromebook, you don't need a dongle for that. Just connect Pixel to Chromebook using the original USB cable that came with Pixel and follow instructions on the official GOS website. Good luck!
Corso evalda Thanks a lot! Years ago I successfully rooted a phone and was terrified during the whole process. (okay, I’m being overly dramatic.) I don’t won’t to screw up my phone. Thanks again.
[deleted] Out of interest, have people found these docks offer full functionality? Like, say wanted to try a USB 4G dongle in the dock? And a keyboard. Share your successes.

Unfortunately, I didn't managed to get it up and running with GOS yet. Is anything else necessary other than just plugging it in when unlocked?
Countdown9 Name: WARRKY 2-in-1 USB 3.0/USB-C Devices tested: Pixel 8a Store link: link Chipset: REALTEK RTL8153 Just shut down the phone, plugged in this ethernet adapter, turned the phone on and GrapheneOS used it automatically.
