  • Banking apps have updated and are now complaining about root

I am also using Starling app and have no issues at all - installed it in my work profile with sandboxed Google Play services installed and it works like a charm, the latest version downloaded from Aurora Store. I didn't do any workarounds like I did with the Lloyds app.

Even without Play Services it works perfectly, just without notifications.

Volen thanks works for me too, so guys whoever trying on Lloyd's bank you need to get aurora store and from there manually download mentioned version of app

Glad it works. However, something tells me that the app will stop working at some point, demanding to update to a newer version. This is where all the issues will come up again.

I tried to talk with their team but they are useless.

I had the Lloyds app downgraded to the last working version however today I was shown an error message saying they no longer support this app and I have to update to the newer version. As expected newer version is not working. I honestly don't see how people might want to use cbdc in the future if the current system is such pain in the ass already. fu€k banks

I'm with Lloyds bank and it's been working fine (app v. 105.02) on the Pixel 4a running graphene, but it doesn't work on my Redmi Note 9 which has the original xiaomi software on but has an unlocked bootloader. However Lloyds is bugging me to update to the latest version of the app and I haven't done it because I expect it not to work anymore. Which is what has happened with another app I use called Shoppix.

Shoppix is a very funny app, it also won't work on the redmi note 9 with an unlocked bootloader, now it giving the 'sorry you are not allowed to use shoppix from a rooted device, please unroot your device and try again' message on the Pixel 4a. Contacting them is a waste of time because they just give you a robotic we don't support rooted phone', tough luck type msg. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

luigi It's happened to me. I took the phone in to a repair shop. The guy had it all day and assured me the phone is not rooted. I have phoned Lloyds Bank a few times now and am told they are aware of the problem, they are looking at solutions, contact them again in a few weeks. That's about 3 months now.

Marriott still has this issue. Can't we do something to 'hide' the "Magisk detected by app" somehow?
