I was an iPhone user for most of my life until about a month ago when I made the switch to grapehene on a pixel 7 and I LOVE it so far. My problem now is because I can see what I couldn't on an iPhone I'm contemplating several apps I have.

Are games (clash or clans, clash royale) safe to have with only network permissions

Is there any good alternative or at least maybe a front end to Spotify that doesn't have all the garbage Spotify has

Is using warden as a track checker OK

E24 I think you will like InnerTune as an alternative to Spotify.

E24 It's hard to tell whether or not pay2win games also are harvesting&selling your info. I'm leaning towards enough of them probably do since the base game is free, and they might feel they need to recoup the cost from those users aswell. And who doesn't like free money? But again; hard to verify.

Same goes for most other apps.

Keep in mind that if you want to have a functioning and half-effective life you still need to give up some info somewhere. You have to ask yourself which of these pricacy paths you want to go, and if it's actually overkill for your current and near-future life. Everybody get a Neo moment when they start open and use their eyes. Living as a mountain man is not for everybody.

GrapheneLover That's too overkill, as long as they don't grant sensitive permission they'll be fine.

Use nextDNS to see if there are any websites collecting information without permission and block them. Also, add it to a separate profile to containerize it

You are already taking good steps for your privacy so you should be fine as long as it's not connected to any IP or email

Rt11111 I remember clearly on the graphine website it says it reccomenda not to use firewall ? nextDNS is firewall

Grimlin GrapheneOS provides a firewall, so why would the project recommend not using one?

I just remember on gragh web it said not to use a firewall . in not recommending I'm curious . nextDNS looks good to me

The project wouldn't include a firewall if it didn't recommend using one.

GrapheneOS works great with NextDNS as Private DNS!
I really appreciate the service from NextDNS. It is the ideal partner for the data-saving operating system GrapheneOS!

Do you do this in settings /network/ private DNS?

E24 yes. select the last option in the box that pops up and enter the dns.adguard.com in the text box

E24 correction: enter dns.adguard-dns.com , not the other
