My bank app, in a different profile does not generate a notification either. It only shows in the main profile. I'm not really concerned about it.

Can confirm, notifications from active secondary profile not appear in main (owner) profile (last stable release - 2023062300)

    Victus The notifications not appearing at all is a different issue to the notifications not ringing, as per the original question from spiral. In the system user (the main profile), check that you have allowed your secondary user profile to run in the background. There is a new toggle there in Settings > System > Multiple users > "Your secondary user with the banking app installed".

          treequell Sorry, my apologies, problem - not appearing notifications at all. Just check settings and can confirm, that toggle “..run in the background” is on (by default is on, right?). For stable result, just turn toggle to off and then on again, login in secondary user, will be test it. Thank you!

              Victus Yes, default is on, and the setting you want. Also check that you have notification forwarding enabled in your secondary user. From your secondary user, open Settings > System > Multiple users, and enabled notification forwarding there.

                I have experienced the same issue on multiple Pixel 6a devices and one Pixel 7 device, all running GrapheneOS. It appears that WhatsApp occasionally allows notifications with sound to pass through to other users, such as when it notifies you about a desktop session. Strangely, it marks all group or individual messages as silent, preventing the other user's device from ringing. This behavior seems to be exclusive to WhatsApp and persists across various versions, including beta and business versions. Furthermore, the issue remains consistent regardless of whether the Google framework is installed or not.

                I've been using Grapheneos for a while. I haven't had any problems and I really like it.
                Many thanks to the Grapheneos team for your great work.
                I noticed the same with the Pixel 7a. No sound for notifications from Whatsapp and K9-Mail. Signal Messenger notifications produce a sound.
                Does anyone have an idea what to do?

                Just had the same issue on my P6P, as well. Looks like I had to activate the notification forwarding also in the secondary profile. Turned battery optimization off for Whatsapp, turned all notification options on. Now it is working. 👍

                i have same issue on p8, whatsapp on secondary profile, notification come with no sound in main profile, did someone ever found a fix since?

                  randomname not that I'm aware of. Been with the issue since a year now. Weird thing is I recently got WA to forward the notification with sound and vibratiom but only from the group chats that I got muted
