Truthiness: things that are factually wrong, but "feel" true.
Misinformation and Disinformation both refer to things that are factually wrong, the only difference is the intent.
It doesn't matter if it comes from government propaganda or not.
But what's really disturbing is any attempt to Galileo Gambit redefine these words as some kind of badge of honor or validation of truth. Classic example of, "they laughed at Galileo, and he was right, so if they laugh at my quack ideas, I must be right".
It's a common logical fallacy. Just because governments call it disinformation, doesn't mean it's the opposite or somehow the truth.
