alex_herrero Dunno, I only switched over to Nova Prime a few months back but I haven't been asked to reconfirm yet. Honestly I don't think you'll be asked to reconfirm unless you reinstall the app, and persnonally I wouldn't even worry too much if I had to grand network access for 2 min every half year or so.

Nova I a great launcher and I haven't looked back since I switched over. You'll get 90% of the way the free version, Only paid features I really missed was notification badges and custom swipe shortcuts.

trilogy6202 Personally I wouldn't even worry too much if I had to grand network access for 2 min every half year or so.

If one is worried about an app maybe leaking information, blocking the app from communicating most if the time is very different from really blocking it, because an app can buffer up whatever data it might want to leak and send it out whenever it can communicate.

de0u fair point. For Nova Launcher I don't think it's necessary to provide network access again after initial registration of the Prime key.

alex_herrero For what it's worth, I just updated to 8.0.14 (beta channel) and I didn't have to reapply the prime license.

Personnaly, I use unlauncher (I tried Nova, Kiss and Niagara), reproduct a dumphone interface very well, satisfied overall.

Murcielago clean launchers are nice, but only a small fraction of people is willing to put up with non-existence of widgets and shortcuts and thererefore most don't use them.

I agree with that. I finally changed the Laumcher because I love shortcuts. But I always like to switch to Olauncher from time to time.

lz-numn-rnn I will just say that lawnchair isn't fully open source and requires some proprietary blobs and stuff to work librechair addresses this if you are curious

Did you try librechair? Would be interesting to hear on the state of the art.

Are there real alternatives in 2025 sufficient enough to replace the main one? from what I've read in here Lawnchair,Neo but Libre the most sounded like something to possibly look at.

Unfortunately couldn't find Librechair in Accrescent.

Any launcher recommendations which support Private Space for someone who likes KISS and Neo-Launcher (unfortunately, neither currently supports Private Space)?

Lawnchair 15 nightly supports Private Space.
Also, Smart Launcher. Not FOSS but you can deny it Network permissions.

Although Lawnchair is often mentioned and I have tested the launcher several times - I personally never got used to it and have always uninstalled it.

Even though Smart Launcher may be good - I always try to support Open Source projects.

Thanks for your quick reply though!

It feels weird to answer my own question, but I found a great launcher which i wanted to share:

                    μLauncher

I actually had installed it weeks ago and liked it. I just overlooked the fact that it already had Private Space implemented and therefore uninstalled it (facepalm).

I particularly like the following things:

                    • FOSS
                    • minimalistic and distraction free design
                    • available via Accrescent (also Github and F-Droid)
                    • Feels like dozens of gesture controls are possible

The only thing I'm still missing is an export option for the launcher configuration.

Until now i can highly recommended it!

Note: I am in no way affiliated with the Launcher project.
