I just switched from CalyxOS to GrapheneOS on my Pixel 4a. I am wondering how to enable autodownloads for Antennapod. It is greyed out presumably because of a storage permissions issue.

I like to play all my media locally, offline with no streaming, so I really need to be able to turn on the autodownloads. I admittedly don't know anything about storage scopes.

I'm not familiar with the app you're referring to, but for the most part turning on Storage Scopes is all you need to do.

To do that, go to the app's settings > permissions > either photos or music > configure storage scopes > turn on

If the app still has auto downloads disabled after enabling storage scopes, then there would have to be another reason for the app to be disabling it.

I use AntennaPod on Graphene with no issues. Have you granted all permissions it asks for? It sounds like the Media or Audio Files access might not be granted

Works for me, without any storage permissions or storage scopes setup. Note that you first have to enable the Automatic Download toggle on the upper right to get access to the specific Automatic Download settings below (which are greyed out while the toggle is disabled).

rustybird Thanks rustybird. I figured it out eventually, that I needed to do it from the main settings, not on the per podcast settings. Cheers
