Just do a system reset. Settings > System > reset Options > Erase All Data (factory reset)
This has interested me for some time, maybe you can explain it to me? I came from iOS and when there was ever an issue with that operating system they would suggest a factory reset first, but if that didn't resolve the issues then a device firmware update was suggested to completely reinstall the operating system.
But with GrapheneOS I keep seeing that the deepest and most effective operating system fix is just using the 'Erase All Data (Factory Reset)' ... Can you help me understand why you don't need to run a full operating reinstall to fix things for Grapheme?
Ciapp23 GrapheneOS will not even boot if it was tampered with. If OS is going to stay the same, the only thing that is going to change is data stored, which you can get rid of with factory reset.
So the question to you is what kind of problem you're expecting to fix with it? Because writing the same bytes on top of themselves is not going to change anything.
Ah thanks. No problem on my end, I was just wondering why there was the difference between iOS and GOS fixes. GOS not booting if there is an irregularity certainly differentiates it. I'm new-ish, so reading through the notes and wanting to understand all the differences is where I'm at.
Thanks again!
