No matter what I try, compass does not work in GMaps and works perfectly well in any other application.

Reinstallated, checked permissions - all in vain.

What am I missing?

    abcZ Works for me?

Have you done anything "special" after installing it from the Play Store?

    • abcZ replied to this.

      hugo checked permissions

The Sensors permission too? After enabling it, you may also have to restart the app (e.g. with Force Stop).

rustybird yes, sensors permissions as well. Rebooted for a good measure - does not help.

hugo Installed from aurora store, no gooble services installed at all.

        hugo
Why use spyware maps at all? There are better alternatives.

Based on my experience you need to grant sensors permission to Google Play Services. Otherwise, it doesn't work.

hugo hey noob, make sure your google play services app has location and network enabled!

Also male sure gmaps has location sensor and network permission on.

Also make sure your location and network enabled in a pull down launcher on top.

Of you do these 3 things everything will work.

abcZ magic earth has traffic. And it is a decent navi

hugo it seems that I have the same problem with magic earth. It writes no GPS location. It was working good the other day

hugo i have had a same problem and think I have a solution. I was using Navi with airplane mode and WiFi and location enabled, but couldn get a lock. Then I turned off airplane rebooted phone and now is all working. I think airplane mode interferes somehow with gps

Boomba google play services app has location and network enabled

              ...and "sensors". That was it!
