Hello everyone.
Unfortunately, I live in a place where my pixel cannot make a volte call natively, so I need to do some tinkering.
The one that I've currently done is this: https://github.com/kyujin-cho/pixel-volte-patch but apparently this is not enough. Which leaves me the only option to do the tried and tested way of rooting and manually patching in the settings.
I would like to avoid forking if I can because I'm not an expert in android programming.
What can I do in this case?
What happens if I try to root GOS?

Nothing, if you can't fork, you can't root. You need to sign the OS image and its updates yourself w/ the changes that allow for root.
Also don't root and all due to security issues
What happens if I try to root GOS?
What will happen is that you will be completely destroying the Android and GrapheneOS security model, and your device will be left incredibly vulnerable to attacks. More here:

If you root GrapheneOS, you no longer really have GrapheneOS installed on your device. Rooting is not advised for many reasons. It's not supported and we cannot help with that here.

Ideally, someone who needs this functionality would put in the work to make this feature a reality: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/956
