Trying to run a doordash/banking app called Rappi in a new install of GrapheneOS.

It installed through the Play Store. Running it issued a message saying it "wont run without google play services". Added play services, and it threw out the same message. Intalled Play Store, and that took away the message.
When I tried to enter the banking part of the app, it showed a Loading screen, then a drawer popped up with a "download" icon (not button) and "dynamic_feature_incode_impl" in the header, and a message below saying "Installing module" (not in the system language).
I checked the "Exploit protection compatibility mode" toggle, and it wouldn't work, it just stays on that screen.
I looked for it in the "install from unknown sources" to give it permission to install. But its not there.
Cleared cache and data and retried and it did the same.

Point is... I don't thing its going to work.
That "installing module" thing is wierd tho.

I'm a little confused about how you set up the app.

What do you mean by "added Play Services"? And how did you not have Google Play installed when you had Google Play Services installed? And how did you install the app using Google Play if it wasn't installed?

If possible, I'd suggest starting from scratch. Install Google Play Services and Google Play from App Store, then Rappi and see if it works from there.

Hi, sorry. I tried to use the app in a different user profile.

So I first added play services and the store in de main profile.
Then I added rappi to a different user, first without play services and store, then again after adding play services and store. I cleared cache and data from Rappi in the user profile after adding the google services and store.

bos30 that doesn't help. Apps need to be reinstalled to initiate communication with Play Services.

bos30 Thanks for reporting back! This information may well help other users.

bos30 Apart from play services it only required "Step 1: Native code debugging" from the guide, which is not available in other user profiles other than owner.

Strange. Native code debugging should be able to be toggled on and off for an app in any user profile.

I'm going to submit a report of 3 banking apps I got to work in the link I shared. Later.

Maybe it's a me issue, but I just couldn't find it in the app settings. Maybe it's just available system wide?
