installed on a pixel tablet and a 6a, private spaces working as intended.

noticed that the (initial?) device scan in security and privacy settings takes considerably longer than on A14.

the apps list now displays two dozen of user apps all named app.vanadium.trichromelibrary_ and a 9 digit number starting with a 5 or 6. I can disable or uninstall them and settings force close when tapping on storage & cache in app settings, which is displaying "computing..." all the time.

edit: same apps (app.vanadium.trichromelibrary_xxxxxxxxx) are shown on the 6a, settings force close here as well. the 6a's vanadium base is still org.chromium.chrome.

best regards

MAJ : I'm having the same problem as @ErnestThornhill, the default SMS application no longer works properly and keeps prompting me to set it as default, I haven't tried another SMS application yet but I expect the same result.

Fingerprint unlocking doesn't seem to work with applications installed in Private Space, it fails with my bank application and Microsoft Authenticator, fingerprint unlocking works correctly for applications installed in the main profile, I just had to re-enable the option in the KeepassXC and Aegis settings.

Switched to alpha to get it. Everything ok for now !
EDIT : same problem with SMS app.
EDIT2 : app Conversations seems to route sound to telephone rather than to loudspeaker as it used to.

    prompter

edit on private space; when choosing the option to hide it the search for it via the search bar doesn't work, the option to unlock it never appears and its only unlockable when going thru security & privacy settings.

same issue with the messaging app as well.

Good to know. So I will wait for a build with working SMS.

    @GrapheneOS Team:

Thanks for the fast AOSP 15 update release. Just to clarify:

Will the pre Tensor devices (especially the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a) no longer receive GOS updates from now on?

Next Problem. Playstore do not open anymore. Anyone else?

DeletedUser130 Will the pre Tensor devices (especially the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a) no longer receive GOS updates from now on?

      https://grapheneos.org/faq#supported-devices

The following devices are end-of-life, no longer receive firmware or driver security updates, and receive extended support from GrapheneOS via a legacy branch based on Android 14 with only the Android Open Source Project security backports, certain other security patches, and other minimal changes to keep them working:
      Pixel 5a (barbet)
      Pixel 5 (redfin)
      Pixel 4a (5G) (bramble)

So, they may continue to receive some security-related updates, but they will not be getting Android 15.

phone-company Did you install it in the normal profile or in private space ? It works well for me in Private Space, I installed it in the main profile for testing and the application launched well but I didn't go any further.

At the moment, I'm using the build 2024101600 of the alpha version without any issues on my Pixel 8.

Thanks to the GrapheneOS team ;)

Oh, quick question: you mentioned that 2FA for unlocking the device would come with version 15. Do you have any idea when you'll release this highly anticipated feature?

That way, we can finally have a real Diceware on our mobiles :)

Thank you for your work @GrapheneOS !

Do you want more information ?

IamZorro Update to Gmscompatconfig version 142 and see if that fixes it.

I've had success updating my cheetah after a few hours. Calls, regular notifications, all good.

I was greeted with a new 'Wallet' quick setting that displaced mine, I have never used/installed Google Wallet.
My 'one handed mode' was turned off.

That's all I've noticed so far.

          Bug report

          Device: Pixel 6a
Version: Android 15 Oct 16 alpha update
Issue: default SMS application fails to work, sending a message gives an error saying its not the default SMS application, even when it is. Device can still receive messages

Skyway Yes. As stated in my message, the message appears regardless of whether you're using Messaging or a different app as your default.
