ToffoliGate memory tagging is a key benefit of the 8 series though. To protect against remote hacks.
WhatsApp not working correctly
GeorgeSoros Well of course it is, and as such it is advised to leave it active for all apps. But when there are incompatibilities — usually with poorly coded shitapps like WA — you have no choice but to disable it. And ultimately all bows down to one's threat model.
ToffoliGate I have not disabled it and no issues with WA nor WA business
My WhatsApp crashes every now and then with MTE on, it's still usable tho... I tolerate it for the security benefit of MTE which is especially important for apps like WhatsApp that do complex parsing of messages that can be sent by anyone and may potentially contain an exploit (which did happen in the past).
Still not working

mzatylny how
mzatylny what did you do?
Google pixel 6 here and i also have the same issue. The phone doesn't ring even when unlocked sometomes. Its like the app gets force closed every time i exit. All permissions are on and all the battery save options are disabled.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance
asdrt Sadly, I don't think there is any solution. The problem lies in the code of this Shitapp™ made by the retarded company Crapbook™. I have another Android phone with the stock OS installed with all the "google certifications", all the Play Services installed and whatsapp installed from the official website, and it still failed to ring sometimes when the device was sleeping. It does not matter if one uses the proprietary implementation of notifications or google's firebase notifications. The problem persists anyway. So clearly this is not a GOS issue.
Also, to prove my point even further, this feculence of an app is so poorly coded that it can barely be used with memory tagging enabled, since it crashes every other time one opens it. God only knows what memory shenanigans are there under there.
