It seems to be a Pixel upstream issue - https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/264865035/pixel-7-pro-not-receiving-calls-after-march-2024-update

I'm having the same issue as well since mid-March. It's surprising that Google hasn't fixed this issue for almost a month. Especially given the amount of users that are seeing this issue

It seems I'm in the same boat on my pixel 8.

jagorom515 man thank you! i know it's not good news but i was honestly worried that i messed up my new phone! I'll just migrate my work number to a different phone for now and wait for the fix, you made my day!

      You're absolutely not alone :)
What use is a phone if it cannot be used as a phone?

I have a temporary fix that works. Not sure what exactly fixes it, but here's what my setup looks like:

      • Disable Wifi (do not connect to any wifi) and stay connected to Mobile Network
      • Enable Mobile Data
      • Enable Roaming
      • Enable VoLTE
      • Preferred Network Type - LTE only
      • Disable Wifi Calling(I'm sure folks have already done that)
      • Allow 2G

With this, I'm able to receive/make calls and SMS.
The only unfortunate thing is I'm stuck with using my 4G data instead of my Wifi.

I think the critical one for me was Disabling Wifi and connecting to Mobile Network. But I've shared my whole setup just in case. You can try it out and see if it helps. Otherwise, we just pray.
I'm genuinely surprised how this issue isn't Code Red for the Pixel devs. Should've been fixed Day 1 when this was triaged.

jagorom515 hey, thanks for the reply. Im good this fix works for you but unfortunately this is my default settings, i rarely ever use wifi and the rest I've set up since day 1. I also teies reverting back to original settings and redid these ones again, no luck. Still i kind of think that an official fix is on its way. As much as im not a fan of Google, i doubt they'll leave their flagship phones, phoneless

I have the same issue. Sometimes cannot receive calls, then when I call out using the unavailable number it gets "active" and after this i'm able to receive calls or sms on that number.

Have the problem on both the physical and esim with my pixel pro 8 which i did a clean install on last week.

I just enabled Allow 2G on both sims after reading this post, aswell as "ask every time" for the call and sms preference setting.
        Hope this gets resolved fast.

        4 days later

Hm i still have constant problems, people cannot reach me by phone on both sims, differrent providers. Outbound is never a problem

        a month later

Hello, i hate to ask this but has this issue been resolved for any of you from the latest updates? I'm running the one from 05.09. and still no luck with the calls

          a month later

The issue persists and as far as I've been able to make out, graphene says it's an upstream issue but the issue isn't present on stock, lineage or cakyx. Only graphene. I can't use graphene as I need the phone to work reliably.

GeorgeSoros not really, more so they don't have the issue so it's put off to carrier or upstream issues and not a graphene issue yet, for me it only happens on graphene. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
