Hi matchboxbananasynergy
Thanks for the response. Yes only "Apps" is having this issue, all other apps work fine. I've forced stop, cleared cache, disable and enable. Nothing worked.
Below is the error message I'm getting:

Unable to resolve the server name.

Details:
java.net.UnknownHostException: Unable to resolve host "apps.grapheneos.org": No address associated with hostname

Apologies. I found the cause. I had inadvertently restricted internet access to this app as part of security lockdown exercise on some apps.
It's working now. Thank you for responding and helping troubleshoot the issue; much appreciated

      larrywald hello ,
I have the exact same error message as you.
and I can no longer install google store on grapheneos.
I can't find it in the apps section anymore.
can you explain to me how you did it?
Thank you very much I await your answer impatiently because I am blocked..

Lulo are you running an extended support release or an obsolete device?

For you to be able to see them, you require an up-to-date OS + up-to-date GmsCompatConfig.

        Hope this helps.

MetropleX GmsCompatConfig version doesn't affect the visibility of Google apps in Apps app.

Hello thanks you for your help .
how but have you updated this application?
I have been using grapheneos for 6 months on a pixel 4a and for 5 days I have got this message, that's what I don't understand.
when I go to apps on the phone I see:

          • apps
          • auditor
          • camera
          • pdf viewer

I no longer have the google store app...

how do i know if my os is up to date?
            I use grapheneos for phone.
I downloaded the update you gave me but nothing happened I still don't have google store.
I really don't understand why pk I no longer see google store in but apps.

Unable to fetch the list of apps
Unable to résolve the serveur name .

and its me but its message

Lulo go to SETTINGS>SYSTEM>SYSTEM UPDATE then select Check for Updates.

Make sure you have not altered or changed any permissions for system apps or any apps that came with the OS as standard. We can't troubleshoot or support you if you have and if you have and can't remember which a Factory Reset will be required. Also ensure you haven't altered any notification settings for the System Updater either.

By default you should have 2-3 silent notifications at all times for the following:

              • Device is fully up-to-date.
              • Apps are up-to-date.
              • Remote Verification Success (If remote attestation has been setup with Auditor)

You are not seeing the Play Services as they now have a hard dependency on a higher GmsCompat version.

[Edited due to further clarification from Muhomorr (Dev) below]

                MetropleX

GmsCompatConfig v25+ this only get's updated with each OS update at the system level

                This is incorrect.

GmsCompatConfig updates happen independently of OS updates, it's the whole point of GmsCompatConfig.
Version of GmsCompatConfig doesn't affect the visibility of Play services in Apps. If GmsCompatConfig is outdated, it'll be updated when Play services is being installed.

You're likely conflating GmsCompatConfig version with GmsCompat version. GmsCompat version can be updated only when the OS is updated. But even then, older OS versions will still have access to older versions of Play services that is supported by GmsCompat version that they have. For how long is not decided yet, we can't keep old versions of Play services in Apps repo indefinitely.

Currently, Play services is hidden only for those users who are running GrapheneOS version older than 2022120600, which is the last time GmsCompat version was incremented.
This version is 6 weeks old at this point.

Legacy version of GrapheneOS that is based on Android 12.1 (for 3rd gen Pixels) was updated to the latest GmsCompat version more recently, at the end of December.

I solved my issue by unblocking internet access restriction I had inadvertently put in place.
Go to Settings - Privacy - Permission manager - Network - Apps - Allow.
Once internet access is restored to Apps, the error message should be fixed.

Then you should be able to install play store

                  larrywald

For me it was not "Apps" that didn't have network access, but 'System Updater' app.

Go to Settings - Apps - See all N apps - Kebab (three dots) on top right - Show system - Select 'System Updater' - Permissions - Allow Network permission

I'm not sure how/why this was not allowed for me though, hope this helps someone.
