"Apps" unable to locate host

I solved my issue by unblocking internet access restriction I had inadvertently put in place.
Go to Settings - Privacy - Permission manager - Network - Apps - Allow.
Once internet access is restored to Apps, the error message should be fixed.

Then you should be able to install play store

For me it was not "Apps" that didn't have network access, but 'System Updater' app.

Go to Settings - Apps - See all N apps - Kebab (three dots) on top right - Show system - Select 'System Updater' - Permissions - Allow Network permission

I'm not sure how/why this was not allowed for me though, hope this helps someone.

I know this is an older thread but I've been going nuts trying to solve the same error message mentioned earlier. I'm trying to install Turo and Uber under a second profile using Aurora Store and when that failed, then Google Play. My OS is up to date; all apps are "allowed" under permissions; my VPN is turned off; I have only automatic DNS settings--nothing custom. The message reads:

java.net.UnknownHostException: Unable to resolve host "apps.grapheneos.org": No address associated with hostname

I am new to Graphene so entirely possible I've missed something obvious. Any ideas?? Thanks.

PingPong Might not be completely correct here but from my understanding, it's usually due to a network error. You could try reconnecting to the network, restart the router, or try later. For me it's more a matter of trying later.

Problem solved I think. I had disabled the VPN but not from the network settings. Just searched the System for "VPN" and sure enough... toggled it off and it seems to be working now

For the record, it works with VPN so you don't need to turn it off. The UnknownHostException error is fairly common when using VPNs and not an issue at all, unless its continuing to show up hours after the first time.
