My storage is mostly being used by the System category, this is separate from the apps and personal files I have on the device, any idea what it can be from? There is no file manager able to access the storage from the profile itself on A14 it seems, it was 60 GB the other day but after each system update it seems to be going up.
System taking 70GB?

My storage is showing 15gb for system. 70gb seems excessive. I don't have a solution.
Do you happen to have a lot of apps installed on your device? If so, it could be that some of the data storage is being incorrectly assigned to System.
Same here, 15 GB on a Pixel 5.

I have around 52 apps at least and my system is showing as 17GB.
Avezamal I am having same thing here, I have 5 profiles (Owner+4), out of which one is "Music". I have a library consisting of lots of Hi-RES .flac and .wav audio files which are stored on the music profile. The total storage those files taking is around 45 GB. And accordingly, my music profile is also showing me 48 GB of my 128 GB storage in use. I use UAPP subscription which the app verifies as valid though playstore and GSF services, thats why I had to create separate profile.
Also, my system is taking around 60 GB, other 4 profiles combined, around 2-2.5 GB. But still, I have around 40-45 GB space free. If you put all these numbers in calculation (60+48+3+40), it doesn't make any scene, as my device is only 8+128.
What i think about this is, system is measuring in those files stored in Music profile also. And, in addition to that, Music profile is displaying its own storage separately, 48 GB which seems to be correct. If this is the case the, system's 60 GB + other profiles' 2-3 GB = 62-63 GB storage in use, and whats left unused would be around 40-45 GB, which is the actual storage left.
I actually dont give much attention to all this. Ik I have 40-45 GB free and knowing this is enough for me.

15gb in the "system" category, not trying to make any claims about the size of the operating system.
A gentle reminder to stick to the topic of the question. I have removed answers which are only likely to divert the discussion.

treequell You might as well now remove my second post since you removed the second half of it which stated the entire point of my post and I was truly curious about the OP's answer to my question that was among what was removed by you...
