It's quite strange because it works like 1/8 of the time, but most of the time it doesn't.
I'll try exploit protection mode for a week and see how that goes.

Hi,
Wavelet application from play store worked fine for a long while but a few months ago it suddenly stopped functioning on grapheneOS. There was a short period of time where it would work for a brief period after a reboot but recently it doesn't work whatsoever.
The application is useful for equalizer override such as post-gain control which I value since I love loud music on my earbuds.
Is there any way to get this functioning normal on grapheneOS?
Thanks
Travelling to China with your phone is just like travelling to Europe, no one is going to confiscate your device or stop you from using it.
I used to believe otherwise, but I realized that this was baseless propaganda. After spending a few months in China last summer, I saw firsthand that the reality for visitors is far different from the misconceptions.
A recommendation I would like to share is to use https://www.airalo.com/ for your eSIM needs rather than using a local SIM from within the country. Works great and decent pricing.
From a security standpoint, I agree with you. To clarify, my recommendations were specifically tailored to the OP, as they don’t seem to have much experience with Linux.
Personally, I use NixOS on the unstable branch, but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone like the OP, who appears to have a negative perception of Linux. That said, I believe NixOS offers superior security compared to Arch due to its rigorous GitHub-based vetting process for both the OS and Nixpkgs software before reaching the end user. Additionally, NixOS's declarative, immutable, and reproducible nature, along with its non-FHS (Filesystem Hierarchy Standard) design, further enhances its security and reliability.
In short, my goal was simply to convey to the OP that Linux is fundamentally more secure and flexible than Windows or macOS.
I appreciate your input, but I respectfully disagree with your premise. The Linux experience is highly subjective and depends on many factors, the most important being hardware. With the right combination of hardware, distribution, and desktop environment, you can have a very smooth experience.
In my view, Debian and Arch are excellent recommendations, with Debian being especially known for its stability. Additionally, when choosing hardware for Linux, I suggest opting for AMD or Intel components since their open-source drivers are usually well-supported. Although Nvidia drivers are available, they can sometimes lead to issues.
I say this with the utmost respect, but if you are experiencing problems with Linux, the issue is most likely due to your hardware and setup rather than the operating system itself.
Interestingly enough, shortly later, the choppy feeling went away.
I turn on the forced 120hz refresh rate in developer mode so whenever the device doesn't feel like 120hz, I know something is going on in the background preventing it.
Since Android 15 the forced 120hz feels a lot less effective.
Anyhow, you're probably right. I just wasn't used to seeing an update occur without any optimization whatsoever.
Hi,
I've noticed that in recent updates of GOS, the app optimization process that typically displays a notification after updating and rebooting no longer consistently appears in the notification menu. Despite this, I can tell the optimization is happening because the device runs choppy and slow during the process.
In earlier updates, rebooting the device would sometimes cause the notification to show up, but after the most recent update, it doesn’t appear at all. As a result, there's no way to know when the process is complete or to restart the apps once optimization finishes.
Is this a known issue? Are there any available solutions for this?
Hi,
Is it possible to change the location where the “internal backup” location options saves the backup? It appears it's saved in the root directory, and I can't figure out how to change it.
The reason I want to change it is that I use SyncThing to Sync files in a backup folder I've created to my NAS. It would've been perfect if I could've set the internal backups to save to this backup folder instead of the root directory so that it would sync. I cannot use the root directory for syncing because it would then sync every folder in the root directory.
Possible? Not possible?
Hi,
I'm experiencing some issues lately with backups that were not happening previously.
The backup process gets to about 99%, hangs there for a bit, and then fails. When it fails, I see that tailscale VPN is disconnected.
Not sure what's going on, but this has been occurring for about the last two weeks, give or take.
Hi,
I noticed yesterday that my signal interface looked slightly different from a recent update, and since then my app crashes anytime I try to make a call. I can still send and receive messages, but calls do not work.
I have it installed from Google Play.
