mk4y is the OEM Unlocking toggle grayed out in the developer options?

I've never heard of BlackOS and the only references I was able to find to it, after a quick search, was on xda-forums and play store...?

OEM Unlocking requires internet access (from the Stock OS) with Google Play services as part of Factory Reset Protection (FRP) for anti-theft protection. I'm not sure what BlackOS has.

In any case, for the Pixel 6a

OEM unlocking won’t work with the version of the stock OS from the factory. You need to update it to the June 2022 release or later via an over-the-air update. After, you’ve updated it you’ll also need to factory reset the device to fix OEM unlocking.

Can you provide more details as to the build number etc.

Side note FYI, one is able to use the terminal to verify if the device’s bootloader may be unlocked.

Turning on USB debugging:

Enable developer mode.

Settings → System → Developer options → Debugging → USB debugging

Open Terminal:
adb shell getprop ro.boot.cid

If it returns ANY value except 000000 than the handsets bootloader is locked.

    a year later

akc3n I’m in a similar situation trying to use an FRP bypass tool, and enabling OEM Unlock has been a challenge. Like you mentioned, updating to a recent release and then doing a factory reset seems necessary for these options to show up, especially on newer devices with stock restrictions in place.

If anyone has insights on enabling OEM unlock or USB debugging specifically for FRP bypass purposes, it would be really helpful. Thanks for sharing these steps!
