Is this release a beta release only? How can I tell if it is a stable release or not without checking the system update on my phone?

Hb1hf really? I got it only on the beta channel. Stable channel said my device was already up to date.
Just received as a regular update.
Just received as regular update about 1 hour ago. Has not fixed my Google Playstore problem as stated in another thread.
Wow, this was really a fast update and everything works fine. Thanks again to the devs!
greenmonster Enable exploit protection compatibility mode for the app if you haven't already and see if it fixes your issue.
Has anyone noticed any lags when watching videos after this update? The video itself plays fine, the lags are visible in the interface (e.g. opening the video player menu, swiping up to close the video, etc). I'm using Pixel 4a 5g, it happens both in local player and, for example, in Telegram
fl1pper Haven't noticed it while playing videos in Vanadium and NewPipe on P6P.
fl1pper I haven't experienced this on my Pixel 7 Pro.
-The problem with widgets seems to persist, random times they keep loading.
-When you tap the notifications displayed in the bar, it takes a few seconds before the content appears
I am on the stable channel and received an OTA update on my Pixel Tablet at some point yesterday. I didn't notice until right as I was going to bed because I hadn't used my tablet in about a day, but I was getting a "No valid operating system found" error. Rebooting the device did not resolve the problem. So I had to sideload the OTA update in recovery mode as described here to fix it.
Is this version based on Android 14 for Pixel 6a and Pixel 7?
ramjie As stated in the original post: "See the linked release notes for a summary of the improvements over the previous release."
Thank you for the Android 14 update. Upgrade process was quite smooth. Needed to reboot after the initial app optimization so scrolling would be fluid like before.
This is anecdotal but I can already say that Android 14 is a massive improvement over 13 with regards to idle battery drain. I'm only losing like 2-3% battery per day when my bramble is left idle. I'll keep monitoring with more battery charge cycles, but so far, so good!
Nice! Is that drain with or without play services?
applesbana Without. Yeah, if you run Sandboxed Google Play Services, the battery usage would probably increase a bit.
