Hi all,

New to the platform, loving it so far :) The only thing that I haven't been able to figure out by searching the forum is a problem that I'm having with pushing apps to other profiles.

My setup is as follows:

Primary profile: Google play services installed, no general usage other than using it to configure global options and install apps. I use it in a similar way to how you might use the root account on a linux box.

Profile B: No google services, this is where I have all of my main apps, and what I use as my "everyday" profile.

Profile C: No google services, this is where I install Facebook Messenger and other Google programs I don't use often but don't want on my main profile so I can keep them separated.

The problem is that I will log on to the Primary profile, install an app that I want on profile B, but then find that it won't be listed in the list of "installed apps". But when I look at profile C in "manage profiles", the app will be available to push to profile C.

I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening, any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

tastazardo That post doesn't actually answer the question. I know how to install apps to other profiles, the problem is that not all installed apps are showing up as being installable on all profiles.

Something is still not clear to me. Are the apps you're trying to install to your other profiles installed in your owner profile?

For the "install available apps" feature to work, the apps you want to move to other profiles need to be installed in the owner profile.

In owner profile you're going to: settings > system>multiple users >profile B> install available apps.
And the app you want isn't listed ?

Yes, anything I need installed through google play is done by switching to owner, installing app, going to manage users, then install available apps.

That's right. But then when I go to profile C, the app I want to install on profile B is listed as being available to install. I can't figure out why.
