Hello.
Has anyone lost mobile data functionality since a recent update?

I've running the most up to date version of G OS on a Pixel 3XL. About three months ago, I stopped being able to receive mobile data. Wifi was connecting just fine and data transfered without issue. Xfinity swapped the sim card and it resolved the issue: data was transferring via mobile carrier.

About a month ago, the issue popped up again. Xfinity has swapped out the sim card a least 5 times because there have been known issues with sim cards. But at this point they believe that it's the phone that's broken.

Before I get a new phone, I figured I'd ask if anyone else has lost mobile data functionality since a recent update.

I also have this same problem on a Pixel 6 with AT&T, so it's most likely the OS. I am using the beta build.

      Hello Roque,

how can you run "the most up to date version of G OS on a Pixel 3XL"? The 3XL is not supported anymore. ;)

      Wondering, malatoi

        Hello malatoi.

In my notifications screen, it says "Device is fully up-to-date. Latest stable channel release is already installed."

Plus, I receive notifications that it needs to update and when it's completed.

Roque You're running the latest version for your phone, but it's not the latest version of GrapheneOS on its currently supported devices.

Ah, I see. Well, I guess that explains that.
Since the pixel 3XL is no longer support, I guess I'm outa luck. This is a really bummer for me.
            Thanks Lukas.

Roque Did you try factory resetting your phone?

I'm not sure if the 6 is still supported, but [if] it is, you may want to create a separate post for it.
The reply for a supported phone will likely be different.
Best of luck getting it resolved.

No, Lukas, I didn't. I'm not very technically inclined. It took me the better part of a weekend to install G-OS on the phone. It was my one and only attempt to install a custom rom. It was eventually successful, but it's not something I want to try again. I was really worried about bricking my phone. If I was confident and knew the reinstall would go smoothly, I'd do it.

Roque A factory reset only takes a few presses, and after that, you will end up at the setup wizard. Your phone will be like a fresh install of GrapheneOS.

Roque You can also try to reset network settings.

[deleted] Get out. I honestly thought I'd have to redo the entire process. I'll look into that right away!

[deleted] That I did try. In fact the Xfinity help desk had me do it several times for each sim card they replaced.

Roque Go to settings and use the search function to find it. It's in the same place where "reset network settings" is, but it's the last option there at the bottom.
