  • Req feedback for car bluetooth calling over GOS handset VoIP

GOS is up and works great. I make all calls via VoIP app (with G-services on 2ndary user), thus my "SIM number" is private. (note, this is background. If you don't agree w/ method or 'private', ignore that and focus on next section)

I can connect handset to the car (in-dash generic android) via bluetooth and initiate the calls from handset w/ VoIP app. When I try to do the other direction (initiate calls from car), the call is connected via my SIM number.

Are there any recommendations / methods to configure or force the handset to use the VoIP app for the calls initiated by the car over bluetooth?

mucr I think that the VoIP application would have to be configured as a replacement dialer application in order for that to happen. If it can be, you'll find it in System Settings --> Apps --> Default Apps --> Phone app. If its not in that list, then the VoIP software you've chosen is incapable of that.

Great point - I didn't think about default app. Unfortunately, my VoIP app isn't listed.

Anyone else have suggestions or is Default App the only way?

mucr The problem is that the instruction coming from bluetooth has to be routed somewhere.
