Why is "com.google.android.euicc" is disabled?

For some reason I happened to look at the disabled apps and noticed that "com.google.android.euicc" is disabled. This was not disabled a while ago and I did not disable it. Why was it disabled and is it OK to re-enable. I do not currently use an e-sim.

It was and is disabled. That's the eSIM activation app which is gated behind the "privileged eSIM activation" toggle.

Is it disabled by GOS? Why is it disabled? Other eSIM applications are not disabled.

goslife I have read the link about eSIM. Out of curiosity (I have no immediate need for eSIM), I suppose you can create a profile dedicated to installing the eSIM, install sandboxed Google Play, grant it the necessary permissions, install the eSIM, and then uninstall sandboxed Google Play and erase the dedicated profile while still being able to use the eSIM ? Or does the use of the eSIM require sandboxed Google Play to remain active any time ?

Eirikr70 Only the Owner user is allowed to activate eSIMs via the Settings app. The activation app is only needed for activation and not for using an already activated eSIM.
