Hello, I came over your post by researching if multiple eSIMs are possible with a Pixel 6 pro. Did you happen to install more eSIMs since the time you posted this? I'd be also interested if you maybe found a solution for not running Google Play services in the owner profile? Thank you very much for getting back to me. greets

Hello and please, excuse my noob question: I do understand that the owner profile should have privileges over a secondary profile. Maybe you can shortly fill me in why sandboxed Google Play services are still an issue in the owner profile? Shouldn't sandbox eliminate a threat? I am fully aware that installing Google in GrapheneOS is very counter productive, first of all. But we all know, that there's almost no way around it. I am trying to limit the damage. Thank you very much ahead.

I am fully aware that installing Google in GrapheneOS is very counter productive ...

It is only counter productive if avoiding Google is the goal. GrapheneOS provides many benefits besides Google avoidance such as increased security, and using Google software in the application sandbox even improves privacy from Google.

Gee Hi! I haven't tried to install more than 2 eSIMs yet. I don't think there is a way to install or manage eSIMs without Play Services right now.

Thank you very much for your answer. I am new to GOS and just trying to wrap my head around things.

Hi and thanks. Yeah, I don't think so either, meanwhile. The "privileged eSIM management"is not showing in a secondary profile.

Gee Yes, eSIM management is available in the Owner profile only.

What I do when I need to change eSIMs is enable Play Services in the owner profile, enable Privileged SIM management, do my thing, then disable both eSIM management and Play Services.

short update: I installed a second eSIM on my Pixel 6 pro today and I can seamlessly switch between those two. Also the "Add SIM" button still shows up and is active. If I press it I have the possibility to scan another eSIM QR.

Gee But to do this you have Google Play Services installed and running on the owner profile?

Jay I have this set up, yes. But as @N1b said, it's obviously not needed anymore. I did not test this though, because I need GPS on my owners profile for other reasons.
