I have Auto-Connect set as On but it simply does not work. I have to remember to manually connect whenever I return home as the phone signal is marginal at best. I would appreciate any pointers as to how to rectify this.

billbadger I presume you mean WiFi. Do you notice this on all WiFi connections, or only one?

If it is for all, do you have WiFi on your phone set to turn off automatically? If so, it won't auto-connect to your network until you manually enable WiFi.

Thank you for your reply. My apologies for the rushed post.

My expectation was that, once I moved out of WiFi range from my saved connection at home then there would be an automatic connection via the cell network and then on my return, the opposite. If tis is not correct, then what is the function of "Auto-connect: Allow connection to this network when in range"?

You ask "do you have WiFi on your phone set to turn off automatically"? Where is this setting, please?

By the way, do the functions "Turn on/off wifi automatically" work correctly ?

Does 'Wi-Fi Auto-connect' use Location at all or just by detecting the specific network?
