Hello,
Google recently released a firmware update for the Buds Pro to support spatial audio and head tracking. I have the latest Buds Pro app and latest firmware, but I can´t see the options.
Of course I have Google services installed, but with only network permission. The Buds App has network, sensors, nearby devices.
Anything else I need to change to have the new options?
Thank you!
Google buds pro and spatial audio
Same here, I have the latest Pixel Buds app and the latest firmware installed. In the app I see neither the setting for multi point nor for spatial audio. Tried with a Pixel 6a and a obsolete Pixel 3 with just one user with Google services. It didn't work out yet.
treequell Do you have any suggestions?
gN5f9jkr The spatial audio setting is not in Pixel Buds app, in's in the Settings->Connected devices->Pixel Buds Pro
Thank you.
I just tried with owners profile (without google services) and with a freshly setup google profile. In the settings I see following options with toggles: HD audio: AAC + Phone calls + Media audio + Input device + Contacts and call history sharing. Spatial audio and multi point are both missing.
I also tried with a Pixel using standard OS, which is showing these options.
Am I missing something?
Don't suppose you've made any progress? In the same situation with a Pixel 7A and don't have the options for spatial audio.
Steadying5496 Spatial audio is supported on GrapheneOS as part of AOSP. It sounds like you might be looking in the wrong place. The toggle is not within the Pixel Buds app but in the Settings app instead.
treequell Go to Settings > Connected devices. Tap the settings icon to the right of Pixel Buds Pro. You'll find the toggle for Spatial Audio there.
treequell Unfortunately not there for me, latest software/firmware on both the phone and the buds. Any special permissions need setting that you know of?

Steadying5496 I had another look at this, and spatial audio is not available on the A-series Pixels. Only on the mainline and pro series, starting from the Pixel 6.

As a result, you won't be able to get spatial audio on your Pixel 7a, regardless of whether you run stock Pixel OS or GrapheneOS.
treequell Well that's a bit ridiculous but I guess they've gotta incentivise the none A series somehow...
Do you need the app for noise cancelation?
treequell Did you manage to use multipoint with GrapheneOS by any chance?

leo On GrapheneOS, I don't have the Multipoint option available in Settings > Connected devices or the Pixel Buds app.
I also don't have a second device running stock Android with which to test multipoint there unfortunately. I would be interested if anybody is able to test that. I wonder if a stock Android device is required only to enable multipoint, or also to use it.
