I think you have completely misunderstood what was meant by "attestation". It is not an "upcoming important event that has to take place and users be notified of". It is a feature that (at the time) was still in the proof-of-concept stage (and seems to still be).

From the very limited description of said feature, it seems as though the feature will notify users when/if the device they have Molly installed on is running an old/unpatched device with security vulnerabilities (not updated to the latest security patch level). In possibly in a similar fashion as GrapheneOS does with Auditor: https://grapheneos.org/features#auditor
It's not very clear exactly what the feature is, how it will be implemented, and there was never a given timeline.
