The new supl.grapheneos.org
proxy will receive the user location and then will send it to supl.google.com ?
Hat I recommend reading this explainer: https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/109960680764836371
In addition to what treequell said, looking at the nginx configuration it's just a proxy to supl.google.com
Thanks, you could correct if I'm wrong : For this request to SUPL, is needed to share the location to get the correct file depending on the user position ?
Do you guys sleep?
Thanks for all that you do.
I just got it a bit earlier today.
I seldom get them the next day after they come out.
How can we activate and deactivate the feature? If it's the option "PSDS server" there is no means to to set it to deactivated as described...
Okay, I found it. I have two new accesses now. See the linked screenshot. Why is Google SUPL still contacted although the switch is set to not use it?
androidin Can you send a screenshot of what you've set the SUPL option to?
matchboxbananasynergy to GrapheneOS proxy. But to be honest: I am not sure whether I have already updated to the newest firmware version at 4:54. Maybe the access was shortly before the update
androidin It sounds likely that this was before the update, then, as the SUPL settings have been confirmed working as intended.
If you notice anything weird/out of place going forward, let us know.
Just a quick question. What happens if you set it to disabled?
Basically, SUPL just helps your phone get a lock on its location faster. Disabling SUPL makes it slower.
More information about what SUPL does is on the website here: https://grapheneos.org/faq#other-connections (4th paragraph)
