Hi,

How to completely disable keypresses on the default keyboard?

It is dangerous if another app uses a CVE to capture password inputs and so on.

Every keypress is being showed, including typing passwords, for a short time. But enough time to capture it with malicious intent.

Any suggestions for alternative keyboards that does not exhibit this kind of stupid behaviour?

Graphite1 while I support your threat model, I think you should understand that not only it can capture screen and hunt for keypresses blinks but it can also track taps, so regarding first scenario be sure that no 3rd part apps has display over other apps access in special app access (also some overlay apps ask for accessibility access) and keep your grapheneos device clean of tricky apps, use official app stores or github, don't use adb and root to mitigate 2nd, worst scenario with taps.

Any suggestions on FOSS apps with this function?

Graphite1 https://github.com/florisboard/florisboard lets you change pretty much any colour of it's UI, so it might possibly let you remove/hide the key press indication.
