Just found the post this week here on the private space feature and how it might be better then using 2 profiles. For me personally, i set it up today and removed my 2nd profiles, its a true blessing. Everything that I didnt like about working with 2 profiles has been resolved. All apps can work simultaniously during working hours while still being seperated, and after work i close the private space (i use it for work apps) and im free 😁 It was such a pain all day to switch between profiles and be unreachable often.

Question, is it possible to somehow organize the apps inside the private space? Im unable to move them within

    1) Private space has limited capabilities.
    2) Standard user profiles cannot run simultaneously. This is completely useless for separating private and work applications, data, etc.
    3) You activate a real secondary work profile. It runs simultaneously with the main profile. Use the Island or Insular application to activate and configure it.

Insular is a fork of Iceland without Google telemetry:

I'm not quite sure if you didn't understand the OP's question or I didn't understand your answers correctly, but:

      1) Private space has limited capabilities

Could you describe this in more detail? I'm not sure which limitations (which undoubtedly exist) are you exactly referring to?

Standard user profiles cannot run simultaneously. This is completely useless for separating private and work applications, data, etc.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "simultaneously."

Several user profiles can run parallel in the background and you can switch back and forth between them quite quickly. Files can be shared in different ways between user profiles. This may be impractical for some but it works fine for others and I certainly wouldn't call it "completely useless'.

You activate a real secondary work profile. It runs simultaneously with the main profile. Use the Island or Insular application to activate and configure it.

If you are looking for something that behaves more like a work profile, you'll maybe find this advice helpful:

We strongly recommend it [Private Space] as a replacement for a work profile managed by a local profile admin app. It has better OS integration and isolation.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with the standard launcher as far as I know, but if third party launchers are an option for you - there are some that already support Private Space (PS), e.g.

      Lawnchair

(Note: PS is at the moment only supported by Nightly Build

      μLauncher

There are more, but that's the two I've tested myself.

I can personally recommend the last one - it's also available on Accrescent.

        Murcielago

Several user profiles can run parallel in the background and you can switch back and forth between them quite quickly.

This is one of the bad things. When using the work profile, I don't have to switch anything. For example, I can have a shortcut for the private version of Whatsapp and a shortcut for the work version of Whatsapp next to each other. Or I can put my private apps on one screen. And I can put my work apps on the second screen. Then I just need to swipe from the private screen to the work screen or back.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with the standard launcher...

Applications from the private profile can be easily cloned to the work profile. And of course I can install some applications only in the work profile. If I don't need them in the private profile.

Of course, everyone has the opportunity to try all the options and choose the one that suits them.

P.S.: Sorry for my bad English.

To be honest, I personally don't know of any launcher that can do this with Private Space - but I would be surprised if it wasn't also possible: When Private Space is unlocked, you also have convenient access to all apps in the app drawer.

Applications from the private profile can be easily cloned to the work profile. And of course I can install some applications only in the work profile. If I don't need them in the private profile.

This is also possible with User Profiles.

At the end I think it can be roughly summarized as follows:

User Profiles - Private Space - Workspace with Shelter etc. - just Owner Profile:

On this spectrum the user has to consider how much security and privacy he wants to swap for comfort.

A major concern is that owner user, private space and work profiles currently all share the same clipboard, can easily unintentionally leak data in clipboard from one of these profiles to apps in another.

          @Kozousch
The isolation between a work profile and owner is set up by the app that creates the work profile. They tend to allow some IPC between apps in owner and work profiles. Private Space and secondary users do not do allow this.

There is no universal advice. Some people require uncompromising profile separation. Others require ease of use.

That's true, but this discussion was not about what is better for whom.

The OP seems to like Private Space and his original question he wanted to be answered was:
